Every year during the holidays, the MTACFE collects donations for a local food bank. This year, we're collecting donations to support The Store, a unique organization that operates differently from a traditional food pantry. The Store follows a choice-based model and purchases most of the food they distribute to ensure consistent offerings and efficient inventory management. To help make the greatest impact, they have asked that donations be limited to the specific items listed below so every contribution can be put to good use.
Requested Items
- 1 lb bags of Dry Kidney Beans
- 1 lb bags of Dry Great Northern Beans
- 1 lb bags of Dry Lentils (any color)
Accepted Brands: Kroger, Publix, and Walmart (Great Value)
Please Note: All donated items must be within their expiration dates.
In addition to the food donations, we are also collecting online monetary donations for The Store. To maximize our impact, the MTACFE will match donations up to $500. We will be accepting donations online only. If you'd like to contribute an amount other than the preset online donation options, you are welcome to make multiple donations to reach your desired contribution amount.
Bean Donations: Bring your donations of dry kidney beans, dry great northern beans, and dry lentils to the December Luncheon on December 9, where all food donations will be collected.
Online Monetary Donations: The final day to make an online donation is December 9.
